As a Tamer, there are various items you can equip to boost your stats. The most basic items are the Crests and DigiEggs.
Depending on their upgrade level (+1;+2;+3;+4;+5;+6;+7;+8;+9;+10) Crest and DigiEggs will boost your stats differently. I will explain later what each crest and digiegg does.
Making crests and Digimon eggs
Making crests and Digieggs requires Digimon drops. For example, to make a crest of friendship you will need: 2x Floramon drops, 10x Gomamon drops and 12x Tokomon drops; to make a Crest of Hope, you will need: 2x Palmon drops, 6x Penmon drops, 15x Yuramon drops.
Different Crests give different bonuses and require different drops to make. Keep in mind that not all drops are usefull; some can be only sold at the NPC. Also while in the game press "F" and you'll find a nice in game guide on how to make crests.
How to make Crest Of "X"
Crests affect your Digimon's "Battle Ability" ( ATT, VP, HP, DEF, Battle Level) by x%(procentage) which is more effective than DigiEggs; also the higher your Digimon level the higher the boost will be.

How to make DigiEgg Of "Y"
DigiEggs affect your Digimon's "Basic Ability" ( DEX, CON, INT, STR) by +x points. This is not as usefull as crests but it works just fine. You can compare it with jewels(accessories)

How to upgrade Crests and DigiEggs
In order to make, upgrade or combine DigiEggs and Crests you will need to visit the Babamon NPC at MudFrigimon or WindValley Map.
1st option: Create Crests/DigiEggs from Digimon Drops.
2nd option: Combine basic Crests into Braves/Honests/Knowledge Crests or and DigiEggs.
3rd option: Upgrade Crests/Digieggs.
Upgrading Crests/DigiEggs
Upgrade Rank 1
Upgrade Rank 1 will upgrade your Crests or Eggs from +1 to +4. The upgrade is free and doesn't need any special items nor bit. All you need is to have 2 of the same upgrade level crests/DigiEggs.
+1 & +1= +2 total 2x+1crests/eggs
+2 & +2= +3 total 4x+1crests/eggs
+3 & +4= +4 total 8x+1crests/eggs

+6 & +6= +7 total 8x+4crests/eggs and 7 ItemBoosters
Item Boosters can be obtained in Cash Shop or from In Game Bosses.
Upgrade Rank 3
. Upgrade Rank 3 will allow you to upgrade your Crests and Eggs
from +7 to +10; can be use only with an additional item known as Item Booster and another item know as Digimon Blessing (you need both).
- Digimon Blessing.+7 & +7= +8 total 2x+7crests/eggs and 15 ItemBooster and 1 Digimon Blessing
+8 & +8= +9 total 4x+7crests/eggs and 31 ItemBoosters and 3 Digimon Blessing
+9 & +9= +10 total 8x+7crests/eggs and 62 ItemBoosters and 7 Digimon Blessing
Digimon Blessings can be obtained from In Game Bosses.
